Stroller Fitness is a great way to get in shape, meet other moms, and have fun with your baby. It is a total fitness program for new moms and the classes are designed for all fitness levels, and are taught by certified instructors. Each class consists of a warm up, a power walk and "stations" where we do a variety of body toning exercises. The workouts are 60mins. The walk is approximately 50-minutes, followed by 10-minutes of abs and/or stretching. We use exercise tubing, the stroller and the environment to create our gym.
We recommend waiting until your baby is at least 6 weeks of age to begin class. They can take classes up to any age so long as they still enjoy a ride in the stroller. If your baby is fussy, we will show you exercises that you can do with your baby. Our first priority is the happiness of your baby. Tend to your baby first. We will stop every few minutes for body toning; you can always catch up with us if you get behind. Our instructors will do their very best to make the class enjoyable for both you and your baby!
What you need is yourself, your baby and the stroller. All strollers except umbrella strollers and so long as it's not prone to tipping, will work fine for workouts. We also suggest you bring WATER, a hat or sunscreen for both you and your baby, as well as a towel/mat for abdominals.

Location: Barrie Waterfront. Meet at the South Shore Centre. Arrive 15 minutes before class starts. We leave promptly at 11am and don't want to leave anyone behind. Class runs rain or shine.
